Low Pressure (Closing In)

We often forget that our natural world exists in an endless state of evolution and transformation. While human beings are also a creation of the natural world, we tend to exude superiority over our environment. That is, until we encounter nature’s true and unpredictable power.

As Queenslanders, we are repeatedly reminded of nature’s overwhelming beauty and punishing authority, particularly during the summer months. With the subject of this series being one of the most recognisable features of the Queenslander home, the work documents a journey through the contrasting beauty and dramatic ferocity of summer in South East Queensland.
